This online form enables you to request a discount due to exceptional consumption resulting from a leak in the water meter of your apartment.
To enable us to process the application, please be sure to fill in all the required details and attach references for the leak repair (certificate signed by a qualified plumber meets this need) or your written and scanned statement on the leak repair yourself including attachments for purchase of any required parts or a photo of the repair site.
The Modiin Water Corporation works to recognize a special tariff due to excessive consumption resulting from a leak, in accordance with the rules of water and sewage corporations (criteria and instructions regarding the level, quality and quality of the services that a company must provide to its consumers).
According to these regulations, "exceptional consumption" is defined as the amount of water, measured in a main water meter or an associated water meter, equal to or exceeding 150 percent of normal consumption.
A request arising from a leak in an associated water meter - a private water meter - will be recognized if the following conditions are met:
- The amount of water measured in the associated water meter or in the main water meter during the billing period constitutes as exceptional consumption (see definition in section 3 above).
- The consumer stated that the excessive consumption was caused as a result of a repaired leak.
- It has not yet been six months since the end of the last billing period for which recognition is requested.
- No recognition has been recognized in the said property of an exceptional need resulting from a leak more than twice in the 12 months preceding the date of the first billing period for which the recognition is requested.
Please note that an application that does not meet the conditions under the rules of water and sewage corporations will not be approved.
