The Modiin Water Corporation recognizes a special tariff due to abnormal consumption resulting from a leak, in accordance with the rules of water and sewage corporations (criteria and instructions regarding the level, quality and quality of the services that a company must provide to its consumers).
According to the regulations, "exceptional consumption" is defined as the amount of water, measured in a main water meter, equal to or exceeds 150 percent of normal consumption.
A request arising from a leak in a main water meter will be recognized if the following conditions are met:
- The amount of water measured in the main water meter during the billing period constitutes an exceptional consumption.
- The consumer stated that the excessive consumption was caused as a result of a repaired leak.
- It has not yet been six months since the end of the last billing period for which recognition is requested.
- In the case of a main water meter, an exceptional consumption due to a leak in the 12 months prior to the date of the first billing period for which the recognition is requested has not been recognized in the said property.
Please note that an application that does not meet the conditions under the rules of water and sewage corporations will not be approved.
